Project no.3

[ Sensory Space ]

-Space and Sensory :Self -Exploration through Spaces

Above the Clouds

PROJECT AIM

The project incorporates all that you have learned from the previous projects .We were need to lock back to to out isolation structure and further develop it to a Sensort Space (20m^3 ,+-3m^3) with anticipate and accommodate user's needs and emotions.

the 3 stages
1.develop the tectonic structure and identify a dominant emotions with the chosen design elements and principles from P2 as design intention.
from your understanding of emotion and enhance the structure to create a poetic architectural representation and your own reinterpretation of your design
2.Re-explore the relationship between the structure and emotions .Your structure should be interpreted as how u understand the selected material and capture the essence and poetry of your own intention.
3.develop your ideas to generate notions of sensorial experiences with the combination of all the above..

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENT

BRIEF

Item 1. 6 x A2 sized presentation board (portrait):

1. Key Drawing: Exploded axonometric x 1 (to show assembly methods and fitting) 2. Orthographic (2 elevations, 1 section and 1 floor plan at scale 1:10)

To include an imaginary north point to have sunlight source at your plan.
3. Tectonic ideas (details) x 2 at scale 1:2 – 1:5
4. Architectural abstract drawings (to be rendered) x 2 (A4 size for one drawing)

Orthographic/axonometric (Scale 1:10) is used as base to create the abstract that explore and depicts the sensorial quality in relation to space and materiality of the design

To include a human figure to imply action and usage of space.

Important: Drawings are to be done manually and monochromatic. Images and drawings should be properly labelled and annotated.

Item 2. Tattoo stamps:

1. A total of 4 tattoo stamps.
2. Diagrams are to be on A6 size postcard in landscape form. All 4 diagrams are to be pasted

and spaced out neatly onto the above-mentioned presentation board and properly labeled.

  • -  1 diagram to depict the transition of intention and conception of your design from your tectonic structure (Project 2).

  • -  2 diagrams to extract and highlight the main idea/themes from the final design.

  • -  1 diagram to capture the user’s response through the understanding of anthropometry and ergonomics.

    Item 3. Model:
    Actual structure size = 20 m3 (+-3m3)
    Scaled model 1:10
    1. 1 x monochromatic interpretive model expressed with only either of the following material

(white modelling board, grey board, Perspex (or any form of clear material), wire, fabric and balsa) at a 1:10 scale (same scale as the orthographic drawing)
