Project no.1
[Models & Tattoos]
-Geometry &Form : Architectural Design Elements &Principles
Brief
To introduce basic understanding of the architetcural design elements aand principles ,processes ,and approaches in generating ideas, developing design ,creating geometric 2D artwork(tattoo stamp) and transform them into 3D form(model)
PROJECT AIM
Produce
-2 monochcramatic tattoo stamps with size of =100mmx100mmx100mm
-2 monochromatic models with volume of = 100mm x 100mm x100mm
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENT
Element +Principle
-foundamental of the language to be used to express and explain your design
Element of design ?
-visual tools that architect uses to create composition
Principle of design ?
-represent how the architect uses the elements of design to create effect and to help convey the architect's design intent
Final Model & Tattoo Stamps
01
-
On to my second tattoo stamp and model, The element and principle chosen are line and hierarchy.
-
By looking at the tattoo stamps, spaces are seen in a variety of sizes, and rhythm is shown by the repetition of the spaces in a specific pattern. (regular rhythm).
-
In Translating the tattoo stamps into 3D, I have applied clustered organization and subtractive forms in this model. The aim of the subtraction in the structure of the spaces is to experiment with the potential of how spaces could be organized in a unique form. The use of clustered organization has emphasized the rhythm in this model by looking at each point of view.(the top ,side, and front view ) with the transition of spaces from bottom to top and also from one side to another .This is to create us an expression of a movement and repetition of spaces with it articulated in size and orientation within the pattern. Interlocking is also embodied in this model with each space is interlocking each other by sharing the same trait

In my tattoo stamps, the hierarchy can be seen by the shape, size, and thickness of the line. The combination of thicker /bold horizontal and vertical lines with a unique intersecting design is to emphasize dominance in the tattoo stamps and to brough the attention to it with also the thinner line in different heights serves to be surrounded between it
-
In translating the tattoo stamps into 3D, this model uses centralized organization. The centralized organization emphasizes the hierarchy in this model with a concentrated composition that consists of different short thinner line groups and surrounds the dominant thicker line in the central space of the model.
-
This model also incorporates interlocking organization (can see from the side and top view ) with the interlocking portion of the thick lines from each direction sharing equally the middle space. The uses of this organization are well present in the intersecting design from my tattoo stamps.
-
Both of these organizations can be seen with our vision moves from the sides center points towards the top view of the model
